About Us

Ruth is a highly experienced qualified teacher with over 30 years of experience teaching in both mainstream and SEN primary schools.

Ruth has spent the past 15 years as a music specialist working with students with special needs at the Southfield Trust and as a result, has gained excellent knowledge of the use of one-to-one intensive interaction through music.

She is early years trained and has taught children of all ages whilst working as the music leader in mainstream primary schools.

She has also run music classes for the Seaford Downs Syndrome and Special Needs Support Group for 10 years. 

Music is so important for early development, and Ruth wants music-making to be inclusive and attainable for everyone!

She has sung with choral groups for over twenty years and enjoys singing a wide range of music.

She knows the power of singing together, that it makes us happy and can strengthen our minds and bodies.

She wants people to enjoy music without worrying about their singing voice or the notes or a performance.
